Marianne Bruss
Candidate for Village President
A concerned citizen who has not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. She has gathered hundreds of signatures for seven separate petitions in the past four years to place advisory questions on the ballot for the benefit and edification of the taxpayers. Three of these questions were prevented from appearing on the ballot by both the current and former administrations.
A 42 year resident of Winfield who served over four years as Fire Trustee and Treasurer. She spent nine years on the Environmental Concerns Commission (ECC), co-chair of the 75th Winfield Jubilee and has recently served as a Village Trustee. She owned and operated three successful businesses, worked ten years at major accounting firm in downtown Chicago, and volunteered daily for five years at Saint John the Baptist School.
Linda Watson
Candidate for Trustee
20 year resident of Winfield who has worked as an election judge and is an avid community volunteer at the local AWANA, the Bridal Boutique, Friends for Therapeutic Equine Activities (FTEA) and the Cook County Jail. Worked the Bread of Life Food Pantry for 15 years.
Robert “Bob” Greer
Candidate for Trustee
Robert is an adjunct professor of theology at both Judson University and Liberty University, where he surprises students writing Ph.D. dissertations. He received his M.A. in theological and biblical studies at Wheaton College and his Ph.D. in theology at Marquette University. He is also author of a number of books, including Mapping Postmodernism: A Survey of Christian Options and A Place to Discover: Eighteen Stories of the Amazing Village of Winfield, Illinois.
Robert also served as Village Trustee for the Village of Winfield, Illinois.
Robert and his wife Linda live in Winfield for over 20 years. He has two sons and ten grandchildren.
Victor Allen
Candidate for Trustee
Lifelong DuPage County resident and Winfield resident for 30 years. Married with two sons who attended Winfield Elementary and College of DuPage. Master of Science in Engineering from University of Illinois, IT professional and Secretary of the Fox Valley Astronomical Society. Member of the Tech Team of First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, Winfield Emergency Management Member and Winfield In Action Soccer & Baseball coach.
